Peek-a-boo!

Alivia and Drew are quite the pair these days. She's constantly trying to make him laugh and he watches her every move. Now that she's starting to get a reaction from him, she teases him even more. Check out this video to see what they enjoyed last weekend.

Miss Independent

Alivia has really hit the indepedent stage. She often says "my turn" which means she wants to do it by herself. Again, we're trying to be patient and let her try on her own. Unfortunately, it doesn't always fit with our schedule to wait an extra 5 minutes for her to dress herself, wash her own hands or put on her shoes. She's learning none the less. It's funny to see what she's picking up on without us even knowing it. On Monday she decided to try and zip her coat by herself. And she did it! We were so proud of her because we'd never truly practiced it! I convinced her to let me get it on video. You'll hear at the end she's saying "I see it." The only way she would let me film it was if she could watch it afterwards. :)

Friends

Andy, Lisa and Colton stopped to visit this afternoon. It was so good to see them and we loved watching Drew and Colton together. They were born just one week apart, so they love the same things right now. You can see in the pictures that they both enjoy playing ball. Do you think they'll be playing ball 15 years from now too? :) Thanks for taking the time to stop by! We loved the chance to catch up.

Alivia the Artist

Alivia has started bringing home artwork from Miss Angela's house these last few months. I never know what to do with all of it and we certainly don't have enough extra room to keep everything. Somebody gave me the idea of taking pictures of the craft/picture and then saving the ones that are extra special. I loved it and have finally started trying to do just that. Here are a few of Alivia's latest and greatest.

Sponge painting with hearts and butterflies.

She made this Valentine's week. Not bad for a 2 year old! We're a long way from staying inside the lines, but you can tell she's trying.

A few of her favorite foods inside the shopping cart.

New Foods

Drew has recently started trying new foods. Last week he had the pleasure of tasting green beans. He was ok at first, but wasn't too happy after three or four bites. This week we're trying carrots and it's going much better.

No thanks, Mom!

Valentine's Cookies

Alivia made her friends valentine cookies last week. She loves to help with everything, but especially in the kitchen. It was her job to put the cookies on the cookie sheet. Yes, we made the sugar cookies that only require opening the package and placing them on the tray, but that's all we have time for these days! She was so excited to take them to her friends at Miss Angela's house.

Lining them up just right!

Showing off her pucker face.

Finger lickin' good! Don't worry-this was the last batch and we kept those at home for us. :)

Her new sunglasses from the vday party at Miss Angela's house.

Bed Head

This is how Alivia looked when I got her out of bed this morning. I don't know what happened, but her hair never looks like this! We couldn't help but take some pictures. :)

Baby mullet?? Yikes!

6 Months

Drew's 6 month photos.

Drew had his 6 month check-up the other day and passed with flying colors. He's weighing 18lb 9oz (69%) and is 26 1/2 inches long (51%). He's perfect!
