Trick-or-Treaters

Whew!  Six families = 12 adults and 16 kids.  Now throw them into one house, just long enough to eat dinner.  We lost two adults and two kids before dinner was over.  (Hoping Aliza feels better soon!) We took off for over an hour for candy and the kids had a blast.  Now it's time to put them to bed and let the parents enjoy the treats!!  So glad we could do this together.

So hard to get them all to look and smile at the same time.

After lots of walking, TJ enjoyed a ride!

Cam was brave enough to let Alivia push for awhile and he loved it.  We were thankful he was buckled in!  Love his cheesy grin. :)

Meeting Ayla Renee

Welcome to the family, Ayla Renee!  We're thrilled to welcome our first niece and now fourth cousin to Alivia and Drew.  Ayla was born last night and is perfect!  She loved being passed around this morning during our visit.  In fact, I don't think I heard her make a peep the entire time.  Can't wait to snuggle her again at Thanksgiving!
Sweet Peyton would hug Alivia all day long if we'd let him. :)

Halloween Party Fun!

The kids had a blast at Angela's annual Halloween party.  They love it every year!  They played games, had a scavenger hunt, carved pumpkins and went trick-or-treating, too.  And did I mention there was lots of candy and prizes?  How could a kid not love this!!

Lots of cute costumes...
and cute smiles, too!

Alivia and Annabel

Bingo!
Corn hole winners!

She loves making the mess and then leaving it for me to clean up. :)

They helped clean it out, picked out the designs and then left Brad and I to do the carving.

Flu Shots

Just look at these two.  I took this picture after they got their flu shots today. Alivia wasn't thrilled at all.  She never cried or fussed about it, but it has hurt ALL afternoon and evening.  She can be quite the drama queen!  Drew on the other hand, walked out grinning from ear to ear.  He was so excited to get his shot in the arm instead of the thigh this year.  And to top it off, he came home and put on a sleeveless shirt so we could see his band-aid.  Such a tough guy! ;)  Alivia did smile soon...we decided to treat ourselves to a DQ blizzard on the way home!

Beautiful Brown County

We always try to get to Brown County while the leaves are changing.  We were a little early this year, but with Halloween parties approaching, we knew we'd better go while we were free.  The kids love to find walking sticks and take turns leading us on the trails.  We're a loud enough bunch that we don't sneak up on any animals, but we have fun none the less.  For some reason, the kids were in the mood for lots of pictures.  So here are quite a few to enjoy!

Farm Day

We've had just a couple opportunities to harvest this fall.  The weather has been so nice, they've been able to get done rather quickly.  We spent a day cutting beans and a day shelling corn.  As the kids get older, and now that Jersey is tagging along, it's hard to find room for each of us.  We took turns in the combine, tractor, semi and helping Mark.  Brad and Jersey must have worked the hardest...they slept most of the way home.

Jersey ended up finding a spot comfy enough to fall asleep.

Everyone took a turn to ride with Mark in the semi.

A tight fit!

Smoke is a gentle giant.  And he's scared of other dogs!  He outweighs Jersey by at least 75 lbs, but ran into his dog house when she came close. :)
Mark put Brad to work cleaning out the grain bin.

Jersey Firsts

Jersey has just been with us for 2 1/2 months, but she's been busy.  Here's a few of her firsts since we've had her join our family.

1st day of school - Drew had pet day, so I took Jersey to school.  She wasn't so sure about all the other animals, but did pretty well.  I pretty much sat with her between my legs to keep her calm and contained.  Drew was excited to show her off to his friends. :)
1st baseball game - Alivia loved taking Jersey to the ball park.  When Alivia was willing to help with her, we'd let Jersey tag along.
1st combine ride - Papaw loves dogs and insisted we bring Jersey along.  She did great!  The kids loved having her join us.

1st sleepover - Vacation meant Jersey got to spend the night (actually 8) at Aunt Leslie's.  There's still a debate out on who liked it more - Leslie or Jersey. :)
