It was a beautiful Friday night for a football game. The kids and I enjoyed watching the APA Jets on Homecoming night. The game wasn't too exciting, but Alivia and Drew loved their important role during halftime. They were lucky enough to drive around the field with Daddy as he took the King and Queen for a victory lap. They were so excited to drive a new Corvette convertible!

Apple Orchard Field Trip
Drew and I enjoyed the morning at Tuttle's with his class from Faith. He learned how to pick an apple from the tree, enjoyed the hayride and played on the playground. Such a beautiful morning to be outside!

Being silly!
He loved the pedal tractor :)
On the hayride...
he decided to eat one of his apples. :)

School Pictures
I was so happy with the school pictures this year. The turned out great! We're so thankful the kids are enjoying school. Here's a little snapshot into what they're learning.
Alivia loves PE, art class and going to the library each week. She's learning lots of sight words and is talking about vowels and consonants. She brings home family homework every Monday and is usually done with it very quickly. We try to slow her down so there's more to do! She's made so many friends, too. Brad and I have each gone to have lunch with her and can't believe how many people she knows. She even knew the 1st graders! She's definitely a social butterfly. :)
Drew is doing GREAT at Indiana Christian Academy. I'm certain now there was no reason for me to worry. His teachers have reported to Brad that he's "perfect" on numerous occasions! He's learning sign language (he shows us knew signs all the time!!), can tell us the difference between vowels and consonants, and is learning to write his letters correctly. We've been very impressed with the curriculum and the fact that he's learning so much in just 2 or 3 days a week. His favorite parts are time in the gym and games outside at recess.

Exhausted
It's taking us awhile to get back into our routine. The switch to all day school has been a big adjustment for both kids. They wake up early (5:45am) when I go to work and are exhausted by the time we get home. It's getting easier, but you'll see what I mean when you look at the pictures. These were taken the first week of school when they both passed out during our 10 minute drive home.
Girl Time
Alivia and I enjoyed a much needed girls evening last week. While Drew and Daddy stayed late for a meeting at school, we went to get our nails done. Alivia was so impressed that the gentleman knew she liked flowers without even asking. :) Here's the finished product.
Roller Cave
Alivia had her first roller skating party last week at the Roller Cave. She was a little unsure at first, so we rented a trainer to help her feel more comfortable. By the end of the evening, she was doing the limbo without it! I should also mention she went to meet two of her classmates...and they were both boys!! I'm not ready for this! Drew enjoyed skating with Daddy. He should have this mastered by the time he goes to school. :)
Doing the limbo and then falling on the turn. :)
