The kids are both playing basketball at the Best Choice Fieldhouse in Fishers this year. It's our first experience outside of rec ball, so it's a learning experience to say the least. Drew's team consists of 5 first graders, 2 second graders and 1 kindergartner. We play in a 2nd grade division and remain winless, but the kids are getting better each week. Drew is just happy to be playing in a league where stealing is allowed. The kids are realizing how physical basketball can be. Drew came out of the game last weekend in tears. After the game I noticed he had quite a large bruise on his forehead. He's getting tougher and seeing that it would benefit him to get stronger too. Alivia's team has been practicing, but doesn't start games until after the holidays. More pics of her team soon.
