Catching Up

I've been slacking, so there are a few blog posts from today. Make sure you scroll down to catch up. This one doesn't have anything to do with the kids, but has everything to do with Brad and me. We finally bought ourselves a bedroom suite! Now that the kids have very nice furniture, we decided to treat us for a change. It's nothing fancy, but I love it!

Children's Museum

Saturday morning we met Andy, Lisa and Colton at the Children's Museum. Uncle Craig joined us too. We had a great time catching up and watching the kids play together (Craig included). :) Hoping we can do it again soon!

Craig teaches our children such valuable life lessons...

Now Drew knows exactly how to pick a donkey's nose!

I love this picture. I don't think she's ever seen a phone with a cord!

Taking pictures like Mommy.

And we couldn't leave without a carousel ride.

Such a Lil' Man

Drew is changing so much! I never knew it would be so much fun to dress a boy, but I love it. I need to take more pictures because his clothes are hilarious. At last count, this child has 10 sweaters, 12 sweatshirts and over 20 pair of pants! Not to mention all the t-shirts and 4 coats too. I'll start posting some of my favorites.

He was very spoiled at Christmas. Nanny bought him the sweater in the top picture and Mamaw got him the Adidas sweatsuit. That's what Grandma's are for! :)

Nanny and Papaw

Alivia and Drew love visits from Nanny and Papaw! Mommy and Daddy really appreciated this visit too. We went shopping for bedroom furniture while they were here and left the kids with them. :)

Hard to get everyone looking at the camera at once. We'll have to try again next visit. :)

Socks

I have no explanation for Drew's interest in Brad's socks, but it's quite entertaining. He and Alivia love to help me with the laundry. They will help carry it from the laundry room to the family room and Alivia loves to fold towels and washcloths. She also does a great job of matching socks. I don't know how long before they realize they're doing chores, but it's great while it lasts. Anyway, Drew absolutely insists that he has on Brad's socks. They were running around like crazy the other night and I couldn't help but take a few pictures.

New Camera

My wonderful husband bought me a new DSLR camera for Christmas. Thanks to Mr. Richard, I'm starting to learn how to use it. I think it will be a great investment as the kids get older. They each got cameras for Christmas too, so we're constantly saying 'cheese' and smiling for someone. Give me a little time to get the hang of it and hopefully you'll see the picture quality improve.

Believe me, they aren't always this sweet. :)

Working on her puzzle.

Playing with the remote. He's always up to something!

Happy to see Mr. Richard! :)

Tool Time

Angela sent this to me while I was at work today. She makes a pretty cute tool girl, but the safety goggles definitely don't help her hair. :)

Pacers Game

Friday night we enjoyed an evening at Conseco Fieldhouse watching the Pacers and Spurs. Although the Pacers aren't typically much to watch, the game was great. And we got to see Tony Parker and Tim Duncan play. That may have been the most exciting part for Brad and me. Alivia and Drew loved seeing Boomer. They were constantly yelling at him. Drew was fascinated with the basketball too. :)

The ironic part of the night was seeing Mark, Hope and the boys. We were able to visit with them for a few minutes too. We don't see them often, so it was a nice surprise. Thanks to my friend Hope for giving us the tickets. We had great, club-level seats, and free parking. The entire evening only cost us $4!

Alivia's treat...pom-poms!

Go Pacers!

Drew with his "thunder sticks." You can tell he's getting tired in this picture. The game started at 7p, so we just made it through half-time. He crashed as soon as we started driving. Alivia talked about Boomer all the way home. :)

Happy Birthday Daddy!

We celebrated with dinner at Texas Roadhouse and DQ ice cream cake for dessert. Thanks to Aunt Michelle for volunteering to watch the kids tomorrow night so Daddy and I can have a night out.

Christmas at Nanny & Papaw's

We finally finished our Christmas at Nanny and Papaw's last weekend. The kids were spoiled rotten! Alivia got a new camera and has been taken pictures like crazy. Drew is enjoying his Sit 'n Spin from Aunt Michelle. Here are a few pics.

Their favorite gifts were sleds. Alivia calls them "sleighs" and wants to ride them all throughout the house. Drew had a ball too. :)
