We wrapped up the season with a tournament in Louisville, KY. It was fun to get away for the weekend after no travel opportunities these last several months. The boys played well and finished strong. Our team will look a little different next year as we'll lose one or two players. We've certainly enjoyed this group and their families.

Throwing the Pigskin
Drew is learning quickly that football is a lot of work. He's on a team that has three all-stars (they are a year older than Drew), so they're beating teams easily, but if those kids have to miss for some reason, Drew gets the nod to play quarterback. In practice he always takes a few snaps to get more comfortable in that spot. While he likes the chance to throw, he doesn't like getting hit. I caught this good pass while they were practicing the other night. I'm anxious to see if he wants to play again next year.

Drive-Thru?
We are so tired of restaurants not allowing people inside. We went for a bike ride and saw this sign on the door when we stopped at Dairy Queen for ice cream. So Brad and Alivia just hopped back on their bikes and rode those thur the line. We'll do just about anything for ice cream!

Back to School - FINALLY!
We're starting a little late, but we're so thankful the kids can get back to school. We all need the routine! Liv is looking forward to her 7th grade year at MVMS and Drew is starting his last year at MCE. It's so hard to believe we'll be done at the elementary after this year. If only I could slow things down a little.

Birthday Treat
It's no surprise Drew picked Texas Roadhouse for his birthday dinner with Aunt Leslie. They had a great time! They shopped at Dicks, where he found a few things he couldn't go without. And managed to find Blondie's cookies before they left the mall! Thanks for making his day special, Aunt Leslie!

Reunited
We stopped by the Sommers' yesterday after running errands in Greenfield. We miss these sweet girls so much, but the kids picked up right where they left off. They chased each other and enjoyed the swing set while Alissa and I had a chance to catch up. It's always good to see them. :)

Mom's Day Out
I rarely do anything on my own, but had an excuse to leave today to celebrate Meg. I'm so lucky to work with these girls. They've kept me sane during an unimaginable year at the hospital. Meg's wedding with guests will happen next year, but Courtney decided to throw her a shower now before her official ceremony with family next month. We can't wait for the celebration with all of us.

Work, Work, Work
Drew played all day, but as soon as he came home he asked Brad to help him with his swing. I was exhausted, but these two were outside almost an hour after we got home.
