Happy Father's Day

We spent the day relaxing and playing at the park to celebrate Father's Day. It was a sunny and hot afternoon, but the kids loved the time outside. Happy Father's Day to the best Dad any kid could ask for. Our children are so lucky to have a father that loves them and wants to be a part of everything they do. We love you Daddy!

Daddy Days

Brad's summer vacation has officially begun. The kids are staying home a few days a week to enjoy some extra time with Daddy. They have no idea how meaningful this is to him and how much it will mean to their relationship when they get older. I have to admit, I'm so jealous. I'm crossing my fingers we won't need me to work full-time someday soon. Here's a list of the things he got accomplished on day 1. I was shocked!

  • 3 loads of laundry

  • a trip to the park

  • oil change in the car

  • scheduled 2 appointments for little home repairs this week

I told him to be careful or I would start leaving a list every time I leave. And they were grinning from ear to ear when I got home! Just another reason why I married him. I knew he'd be such a great father and husband. :)

Yum!

Drew has been very hungry lately! I can hardly keep up, so we're adding more jars of food to satisfy him. He's always curious (and grouchy) when we're eating dinner, so we tried some pasta tonight to see what he would do. He loved it! He had carrots at Miss Angela's today and loved them too. I don't remember introducing table food with Alivia until 11 or 12 months, but clearly he's ready.

Alivia wants to help all the time. As we were cleaning up, she sat with him and 'helped' him finish. We kept hearing her say "No Drew. One at time." She's such a good big sister!

Chef Alivia

Alivia loves playing with her kitchen and recently found her dress-up hat, apron and oven mitt. Too cute!
