Disney on Ice

The kids were thrilled to attend Disney on Ice at Bankers Life Fieldhouse this weekend.  The Worlds of Fantasy tour featured Cars, The Little Mermaid, Tinkerbell and Toy Story 3.  It was so much fun to see the excitement on their faces when new characters came on the ice.  Alivia's favorites were Ariel and Tinkerbell, while Drew liked Lightning McQueen and Woody the best. I'm so glad we were able to take them!
Yes, I let them wear their dress-up clothes to the show.  So cute!

Daddy's Birthday

We celebrated Brad's birthday at Cheeseburger in Paradise last weekend.  The kids loved helping him eat his dessert.  Happy Birthday, Daddy!  We love you!

Christmas with Papaw & Carole

It was clear that Papaw, Carole and Hayley had lots of fun shopping this year.  Mostly, I think Papaw enjoys the opportunity to buy for a boy!  The kids loved their new treasures.  Highlights included crafts and legos for Alivia and farm equipment for Drew.  They were thrilled!  We spent the afternoon at Papaw and Carole's and then went to the Chambers/Merrell Christmas in the evening.  Drew was excited to show Mark his combine, and Alivia was happy to see Gary.  If we lived closer, I'm sure the kids would want to be farming all the time!
 So excited!
She's loves her legos!  Mommy does too. :)
Alivia could play with Cocoa all day.
His combine is just like Mark's new one.  Now where do I put this thing?!
 And a new tractor!
Lots of craft kits!

Christmas with Mamaw

We hosted Christmas with Mamaw, Aunt Lane, Uncle Keith and Aunt Leslie this year.  It was so nice to have them here all day.  The kids were again spoiled with lots of new clothes and toys.  We were so thankful to spend lots of time with Lane and Keith while they were in Indiana.  Can't wait till next year when we're celebrating with their baby boy!
 Thanks, Mamaw!
 More legos!

Snow Days

The day after Christmas brought lots of snow to Indy.  The kids couldn't wait to get outside and play in it.  They were dressed and ready to go as soon as I got home from work.  They enjoyed it for awhile, but not too long.  Daddy cleaned off the driveway while Alivia worked on the sidewalk.  Drew helped for a few minutes, then came to the garage as soon as the wind would pick up and blow snow in his face.  The next few days allowed them a chance to really play.  They built a snowman, made snow angels and made a snow ramp to slide down.  Mommy just enjoyed taking pictures.
Bundled up and ready to go!
 Clearing the sidewalk.
This was the driveway that Daddy had already cleaned off.  It was snowing/blowing so much that it was covered again by the time he was finished.
Drew's trying to figure out how this works. :)
Drew enjoyed eating the snow most of all.  Look at those red cheeks!

Christmas Day

We had the most wonderful Christmas!  There's so much to be thankful for this year.  We're healthy, happy, love our jobs and love each other.  The kids were so excited Christmas morning.  They walked into the living room with big eyes and then Alivia suggested Daddy and Mommy open gifts first.  We didn't of course, but her thoughtfulness melted our hearts.  They took turns opening gifts (which took forever!) and then helped us open ours.  Their faces lit up and they showered us with appreciation the whole time.  We love our tradition of staying home on Christmas.  We stayed in our jammies most of the day and played, played, played.  After lunch we enjoyed singing Happy Birthday to Jesus.  Merry Christmas!

I loved how excited they were for each other!

 A high chair/swing for Ella.
Dress-up clothes & umbrellas :)  Believe it or not, this is a 8+ costume that Alivia is wearing.  It's a little short already.
Remembering the true reason we celebrate!
