Making the Most of It!

This late March snow is not something we were excited about, but we found a way to enjoy it today.  Brad was home with the kids and took them sledding at Riley Park early this morning.  They had so much fun they wanted to go again as soon as I got home from work.  We've been cooped up long enough!

Breakfast with the Easter Bunny

Alivia's preschool held it's annual Easter breakfast last Saturday.  The kids were finally convinced to stand next to the Easter bunny for a quick picture.  They really just wanted the prize filled Easter egg once they were finished, but it worked.  After a very filling meal, we were able to pet live bunnies brought in by a kind volunteer.  They were surprised at how soft their fur was and especially liked the baby bunnies.

We have enjoyed the company of Ryan today.  He's been so easy to care for and it's nice to be able to help friends when they're in a pinch.  I think the kids have shown him every toy we own!

Daddy Daughter Dance

The Greenfield Parks Department sponsored a Daddy Daughter Date Night last evening.  Alivia has been talking about it with excitement for weeks.  We found a new dress, curled her hair upon request and she found Daddy a new tie for the occasion.  Both Brad and John surprised the girls with flowers, then treated them to dinner at Olive Garden before the dance.  These kids are going to have high expectations when they get older!  Alivia came home glowing.  Not only did they dance the night away, she won a door prize of play jewelry, nail polish and hair accessories before the night was over.  What more could a girl want?!

New Wheels

After driving the Jeep Grand Cherokee for nine years, we finally decided it was time for something new.  The Jeep was such a great car, but we've outgrown it and need something that's a little more reliable.  With over 181,000 miles (160,000 from us), we managed to sell it on Craig's List in less than a week.  It was well worth every penny!

Here's our "new to us" Mazda CX-9.  We love to drive it and enjoy the option to take people with us.   However, the best part is we've managed to completely avoid the mini-van era!!

We're getting out every chance we get.  Spring can't get here soon enough!

Walking the Dog

This girl loves animals!  Unfortunately, her mama isn't on board just yet.  Alivia loves playing with Bella and Zoe at Angela's house and had the privilege of walking Bella the other day.  While she thought it would be tons of fun, she was surprised at how much work it was.  By the time they were finished, she was over it.  And that's why we won't be getting one for our house anytime soon!
