Right Now...

  • The kids are in the kitchen.  Drew is playing basketball and Alivia is "coaching" and also gets to announce the starting line-up for the game.  I can't help but laugh when I hear her yell "number 5 - Drewww Morgannn".  He thinks this is great!
  • We're preparing for snow this weekend.  Another storm that will likely hit on Sunday and delay or cancel school on Monday.  I'm thankful for a husband who can manage the chaos this creates.  Most of the time I'm at work when the schools make their decisions leaving Brad to juggle it on his own.  Looking on the bright side - the kids can't wait to play in the snow!
  • We're praising God for a good report from Peyton's appointment at Riley.  After a scare this last week, he needed additional blood work done to get some answers.  God is good as the tests showed drastic improvement today!
  • Drew is recovering from strep throat.  He bounced back quickly and is milking it for all it's worth.  He's told me numerous times he thinks he should just watch tv or play on the ipad so he can rest. :)
  • We love games!  Drew and I played Aggravation, Checkers, Farkle, Monopoly Junior and Skip-Bo before 8:30 this morning.  He and Alivia have left the basketball game in the kitchen and are now playing Parcheesi.  We've really enjoyed this new stage and play a game or two before bed every night.

My Girl

These past two weeks we've attended the APA basketball games.   Drew can't get more into the game.  Aside from a break to eat Skittles once in awhile, he's glued to the action and on the edge of his seat.  Alivia on the other hand doesn't even realize there's a game going on. She's busy putting on her lip gloss, playing with her cell phone and fixing her hair.  And she's always watching the cheerleaders too.  In fact, I caught her standing like the cheerleaders during the national anthem (arm straight across her chest and fingers crossed behind her back)!  How is she mine?! :-)

Duckpin Bowling

Richard and Debby treated us and many others to a fun evening last night.  In celebration of Richard's birthday we went downtown to Fountain Square for dinner and duckpin bowling.  It was a great time!   Happy Birthday, Richard!

Drew & Legos

Drew could build with legos all day long!  He loves going to the library to build too.  Here's the tower he made today. :)

Daddy's Birthday

Happy birthday to this guy!  We're so blessed to have a man to look up to.  Brad is such a hard worker, amazing father and husband and my best friend.  We enjoyed dinner at Texas Roadhouse and dessert at Dairy Queen before coming home to prepare for the snow.  Thankfully it wasn't too much but it did create lots of time at home this week with delays and a day off from school.  As you can see in the picture, these two kids can't get enough of Daddy.  We love you!!

Christmas with the Crockett's - Part 4

Here's our SC trip top 10:
10.  Road trip with Mamaw - lots of singing and playing on the iPads but the kids did great.  We only made 3 stops each way (9 1/2 hours one way!).
9.  Experiencing Lane & Keith's church...we really enjoyed it!  They attend Good Shepherd United Methodist Church in Fort Mill.
8.  Sunshine and warmer weather.  It's no wonder they don't want to move back to Indiana.
7.  BT's Burger Joint and Hubee D's.  Yum!
6.  Build-a-Bear and the American Girl store.  Thanks for the gift cards, Aunt Leslie and Aunt Lane!

5.  Watching the trucks videos...okay, that probably shouldn't be in the top 5, but Cam loves them and watching his excitement is worth it!  Now if we can only get the kids to stop singing "dump it"!
4.  Brees - Alivia just loves him!  And she learned to clean up after him on walks, too.  I'm pretty sure he enjoyed the extra attention from Alivia and Aunt Leslie.

3.  Game time with Uncle Keith and Aunt Lane - Drew enjoyed playing Skip Bo and Aggravation with another opponent.  And the adults (minus Mamaw and Aunt Leslie) had fun playing Head Bands after the kids went to bed.
2.  Being with Cam!  He has the sweetest voice.  We loved listening to him sing his ABCs, spell his name, say our names (Mamaw, Dew and Ivia) and play with his trucks.  The kids loved playing with each other too.  He always had big smiles for Drew and Alivia!

1.  Having ALL of us together!  It was a great trip and one we'll always remember.  Thanks for hosting this crazy crew, Lane & Keith.  Can't wait till we can do it again!

Christmas with the Crockett's - Part 3

Here are some pics from our bowling adventure.  This was a little crazy for Cam, but he was entertained if nothing else.  By the time we were finished with the first game, the adults were bowling more than Alivia and Drew. :)

Christmas with the Crockett's - Part 2

The weather was so nice in Fort Mill.  We enjoyed days in the low 60s and took advantage of opportunities to play outside.  Alivia loved taking Brees for walks too.
