Home Alone

I had the privilege today of being home alone for almost 5 hours!  It was amazing!!  Alivia was at school and Drew had a full day at Faith to make up for snow days.  I was literally by myself from 9am-1:40pm.  It was odd, but rather peaceful.  Here's a list of all that I accomplished in that short amount of time.
  • Picked up, dusted and ran the vacuum
  • Paid bills
  • Started working on our taxes
  • 2 loads of laundry
  • Got the car washed at Mike's
  • Swept out the car at home
  • Treated myself to lunch at Subway
  • Uploaded pictures and blogged about the Monster Jam
  • Watched a little HGTV
Now the kids are home and things are starting to get back to normal around here.  They're fighting over what to watch on tv, what they want for snack and where they can sit on the couch.  Some things never change. :)

Monster Jam

We took the kids to Lucas Oil Stadium last Saturday for the Monster Jam truck show.  They loved it!  Drew was so excited that he fell off his seat when the trucks came out. :)  We had such a great time and were thrilled to make more memories as a family.  Drew liked MaxD the best.  He had spikes all over and then lost his wheel on his freestyle run.  Drew thought it was great that he drove around with only 3 wheels.  Alivia and I liked the truck that looked like a dog because it was driven by a girl.  Enjoy the pics!
Before the show started.
Drew's excited to finally see the trucks!

He's too busy watching the show to take a picture.  And he learned he loves twizzlers!
Daddy's girl!
LOTS of trucks flipped during the freestyle part of the show.  Drew thought this  was great!

Crafts, Crafts and More Crafts!

The kids got soo many new crafts for Christmas and this extra time at home has given us every opportunity to enjoy them.  We've made mosaic pictures, tons of jewelry, painted suncatchers, baked cookies in the Easy Bake Oven and have decided we love perler beads!  I'm especially thankful for these activities on these cold weather days.

Winter Break Top 10

Thanks to the twelve inches of snow that fell earlier this month, we were blessed with an extra week of winter vacation.  It may have been the longest break ever, but we survived and made the best of it.  Here's a list of our favorite moments during break.

10.  Celebrating the Holidays - We had lots of Christmas gatherings with family and friends.
9.  Playing in the snow and helping Daddy clean the driveway.  The kids would take turns riding on the tractor.
8.  Movies-We went to watch Despicable Me 2 and Frozen at the theater.
7.  Staying in our jammies ALL day!  I came home from work a few days to find Alivia hadn't even taken the time to get dressed.
6.  Lots of extra time with Daddy!  The kids can't get enough of him.  When we go out to dinner, they fight over who sits next to him.  I usually end up on one side of the table all by myself.  (And I don't mind at all!)
5.  Sleeping in!  If only we could get them to sleep a little longer.  The kids got pretty good at sleeping till 7 and occasionally 7:30.  Not bad considering they were getting up at 5:30 on weekends a few years ago.
4.  Brayden's birthday party - It was so nice to get out and spend time with friends after being snowed in for days.
3.  New Year's Eve - We celebrated the new year with the Manship's, Greulich's and Fellerman's.  So much fun!
2.  Nerf Gun Wars!  Believe it or not, the weather was nice enough the week after Christmas that we could go out in only a fleece.  So we took advantage and had a nerf gun fight in the backyard.
1.  Lots of family time!  We all enjoyed the extra time together.

SNOW Much Fun!

We've been stuck inside all day after 11 inches of snow fell yesterday.  The kids enjoyed playing in it while Brad cleaned the driveway.  He went out 5 times to try and stay ahead while the temperature was decent.  Yesterday it was in the 30's and today our high was -11! Is it too early to be ready for spring?!
Daddy's helpers

Brad would plow our driveway, go help the neighbors, then do our drive again before he finished.  He was exhausted!
Daddy made them a snow tunnel his last time outside.  It was almost dark, but the kids were loving it.

Happy Birthday, Daddy!

We celebrated Brad today with a DQ ice cream cake.  The kids are so lucky to have this man as their father.  He's the best husband and dad I've ever known!  I can't be more thankful to spend this life by his side.  We all love you, Brad!
Singing "Happy Birthday"
Blowing out the candles is always their favorite part. :)

Go Colts!

We're all ready for the playoffs!  We'll be home cheering on the Colts and preparing for the winter storm that's headed our way.  We've stocked up on groceries, bought a propane heater (hoping we can take that back next week!) and have plenty of legos, puzzles and games to play for days.  Let the fun begin!

Christmas with Carole & Hayley

It was lots of fun to catch up with Carole and Hayley at lunch last week.  We enjoyed the company, were spoiled with more gifts and had fun wearing our ninja turtle masks.  Drew got a turtle shell backpack complete with masks.  We decided to try them on for fun. :)  Thanks for taking the time to meet us!  We had a great time!

Christmas at Mamaw's

It was such a blessing to be able to spend time with everyone at Mamaw's.  The littlest guy definitely stole the show and we loved every minute!  I'm so thankful Cameron warmed up so quickly to his crazy cousins. :)  Sorry for so many pictures, but I couldn't resist!
